Seyolo Zeyoto completes his degree at a French medical school. He then turns down employment in Zaire as the personal physician to the president, Joseph-Desiré Mobutu as he wishes to avoid the corruption associated with his country. Instead, he is hired by the mayor of a small village, Marly-Gomont in the north of France. He tells his family back home that he has got a job in a town north of Paris France. His wife Anne and their two children are disappointed to learn that they are living in a rural village, far from the excitement of Paris. They struggle to settle in to their new environment and the villagers struggle with them.

This is such a sweet, funny and touching film. Also the cultural differences between the family and villagers makes some nice storylines. This is one for the whole family, a must see.
