Bleak House TV Review: This mini tv series is an adaptation of Charles Dickens‘ novel of the same name. The story closely follows the characters in the infamous court case of Jarndyce versus Jarndyce that relies heavily on the production of an up-to-date will in order to settle the inheritance. Two young cousins (Patrick Kennedy, Carey Mulligan) have to wait the outcome of the court case so a generous guardian John Jarndyce (Denis Lawson) takes them in and looks after them at Bleak House. Meanwhile a ruthless lawyer desperately wants to find out the truth surrounding the Lady Dedlock’s (Gillian Anderson) mysterious past. And after deep investigation he makes a discovery that changes all their lives

This adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Bleak House is brilliant. The acting is excellent and the cinematography is dark in keeping with the title.
