The film takes place in Egypt in 193os, mostly on a period paddle steamer on the River Nile. It follows Hercule Poirot as he hunts a killer responsible for the murder of a rich heiress. After discovering that a number of the passengers have a reason to kill her, Poirot faces a race against time to solve the case before the ship reaches port.

This is a brilliant adaptation of Agatha Christie’s novel. The scenery is amazing and the acting is superb. But what do you expect from the likes of Peter Ustinov, Mia Farrow and Maggie Smith.
