The show follows the lives of six twenty-something singles–Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Ross, and Chandler –who occupy a trendy New York loft apartment. These are essentially six beautiful people who have probably never known a hard day’s work in their lives, and whose every utterance was a well-crafted witticism. But despite their idealised lifestyles and perfectly coiffed hairdos, there is something annoyingly endearing about them.
