This mini tv series is Charlotte Brontë’s literary masterpiece. It tells the story of the humble but spirited governess Jane Eyre. After an unhappy childhood, Jane takes a post at Thornfield as governess to Mr Rochester’s ward Adele Varens. When she falls in love with her employer and consents to marry him, Jane appears to have found the happiness that has eluded her. But their wedding day reveals secrets that will alter the course of their lives.

This is one of the best adaptations of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre. Timothy Dalton and Zelah Clarke portray their characters brilliantly.
The filming is a little dated for these days.
