Ladies in Black Film Review: Set in Sydney, 1959, the film tells the story of a group of women (Julia Ormond, Rachael Taylor, Angourie Rice, Noni Hazlehurst) in a department store. Each women has their individual issues from marriage problems to finding their place in an everchanging society where women are becoming more liberated.

The acting is good from some of the actresses.
The story is wishy washy and doesn’t have much substance to it. Maybe the book is better.
