The film depicts a poor Cockney flower seller named Eliza Doolittle. One day she overhears an arrogant phonetics professor, Henry Higgins, as he casually wagers that he could teach her to speak “proper” English, thereby making her presentable in the high society of Edwardian London.
This is such a lovely film. The soundtrack is beautiful and you will be humming the songs in your head for days after. Also Audrey Hepburn, Rex Harrison and Wilfred Hyde-White are superb in their roles. A great family film.
