The story starts in 1950s Liverpool and tells the story of the spirited but troubled fifteen-year-old Lennon. He is in the crossfire between his formidable Aunt Mimi and his mother Julia. When John meets fellow musician and kindred spirit Paul McCartney, his creative genius at last finds an outlet and the most famous partnership in music is born. But just as John’s new life begins, a dark truth from his past leads to a tragedy he will never escape.
This is an interesting film about John Lennon’s earlier years. The acting is brilliant from Kristen Scott Thomas, Anne-Marie Duff and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Also there is a great soundtrack.
