Claire Randall is a married World War II combat nurse who mistakenly falls back in time to 1743. By circumstance, she has to marry Jamie Fraser, an outlaw. However she finds herself falling in love and struggles with her loyalties to two men in vastly different times. Claire must reconcile her modern mindset with this 18th Century world amidst threats from ruthless Redcoats, volatile clan politics and a brutal witch trial. Also she must struggle to save Jamie’s heart, as well as his soul.

This season is a great start to the series. The story is engaging and has lots of romance, action, adventure and fantasy. Also the acting is superb. Not for the faint hearted.
