Marion, a pensioner, loves to sing in a local choir with her other old age pensioner friends. However when Marion dies, her shy, grumpy husband, Arthur, reluctantly joins the very same highly unconventional local choir. At odds with his son James, it is the charismatic choir director Elizabeth who tries to persuade Arthur that he can learn to embrace life.

This is a sweet and endearing British drama with light humour. Also there is a stellar cast with the likes of Terence Stamp, Gemma Arterton, Christopher Eccleston and Vanessa Redgrave. Their acting is superb. Although you might need to get the tissues out.
