English mapmaker, Reginald Anson, manages to offend an entire Welsh town when he rules that their prized landmark is not a mountain but a hill. Anson is soon to find, however, that the locals will stop at nothing to defend their honour. Young barmaid Betty tries to seduce Anson and thus convince him to change his ruling as regards the ‘mountain’.
