A series of gruesome murders has shaken Victorian London, Inspector Kildare of Scotland Yard is promoted to lead an investigation into finding the killer. At the same time a Music Hall actress is arrested for poisoning her husband. Could the two cases be linked?

This is a very enjoyable, atmospheric, mystery, thriller. It was a good story, with a great cast.
The film struggled as a whodunit as you did not get to know the other suspects. It felt like they were dropped in because they were famous, historical people.
