In 1930’s South Africa, P.K., an orphan of English parentage, is tormented at his Afrikaaner boarding school. When World War II breaks out he goes to live with a German friend of his grandfather, a musician who is jailed for not registering as an alien. After being bullied at school, PK learns boxing. An account of the divisions in South African society which led to the creation of Apartheid.

This is an amazing film with great acting from Morgan Freeman and Stephen Dorf. It is a classic. This is a good adaptation from the Bryce Courtenay novel. Different but good.
